  • I would like to offer a look into the work of the fine mathematicians who derived the formula for the volume of the sphere. Althogh it will appear that this work may be somewhat tedius at times I asure you the end result is simply brilliant.

As students of the subject today it is all too easy to simply look in the formula bank to determine the volume of a sphere if needed but what if you were living in the first century and this was not an option? What if there was no formula? How in the world would you determine this great feat of finding the volume of a spherical shape? I will simply tell you. FIND IT, FIGURE IT OUT!

Take a look at how the greeks may have found it

Although the greeks were able to use a form of calculus to determine this great formula perhaps there is an even more elementary thought process behind this. I would like you to take a look at the work of the chinese.
